The PIAs on this page were obtained through a May 2024 freedom of information request under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act for PIAs from 2014-2024. Capilano University included the following explanation as to why there were not more PIAs:
“Please note that the university purchases a number of services through BCNET, a federally incorporated not-for profit services and information technology organization that represents the interests of its member institutions (to include 25 publicly funded) made up of universities, colleges, institutes, and research organizations across British Columbia. BCNET conducts Privacy Impact Assessments for these services where needed as a part of the service provided to the university.”
