These two PIAs were the sole responsive documents to a May 2024 freedom of information request under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act for all PIAs from between 2014-2024. Coast Mountain College provided the following explanation for why there were not more PIAs:
“Coast Mountain College is in the ongoing process of implementing a Privacy Management Program. The two Privacy Impact Assessments provided in the response package sent to you on June 17, 2024, are the only PIAs that have been completed by Coast Mountain College. Prior to November 2022, PIAs were not required to be completed, but we are implementing processes to ensure they are completed on a routine basis.”
