Langara College Privacy Impact Assessments

In July 2024, Langara College threatened to sue the Canadian Privacy Library for sharing a PIA.

In October 2024, Langara College provided 21 PIAs in response to a May 2024 FOI request for all PIAs from 2014-2024. They are now part of the collection.

Langara College cites Section 15(1)(l), Section 21(1), and Section 22(1) of FIPPA in refusing to disclose information that could be harmful to law enforcement, harm business interests of a third party, or harm personal privacy (signatures).

The Microsoft Office 365 PIA references two PIAs conducted by the British Columbia Ministry of Technology, Innovation and Citizens’ Services. They were published on the British Columbia Open Government portal and are part of the Canadian Privacy Library collection.
